The University of Western Ontario (also called Western University) was founded in 1878, making it one of the oldest universities in Canada. The university has a spacious and green campus in London, Ontario, a city of nearly 400,000 people located between the Great Lakes, Lake Erie, Lake Ontario and Lake Huron.

Western profiles itself as a socially conscious university with a broad international community of students. The Faculty of Law, founded in 1959, offers a good mix of academic instruction, hands-on experience and extra curricular academic activities.

Deadlines for nomination:
For the Radboud Wide Contract (Bachelor students): Apply for nomination to the International Office Law before 14 January in order to be included in the first nomination round of the next academic year.

For the Faculty Contract (Master students): Apply for nomination to the International Office Law before 1 March in order to be included in the first nomination round of the next academic year (for both first and second semester exchange). After the first round selection takes place on a 'first come first serve' basis.

(Nomination deadline at the partner university: 8 April and 1 October)

Availability:
Students have two options when studying at Western University:
Bachelor: Students can study at the undergraduate level for a semester at Western University through the Radboud-wide contract. You can choose from a wide variety of courses from all faculties; it is not possible to choose law courses.
Master: Two Master's students per year can study one semester at Western Law. You can choose law courses from the Juris Doctor program; these are courses at master's level.

Admission:
Bachelor:
An average grade of 6,5 is required
Master: An average grade of 7.0 is required to study at Western University

Language requirements:
Bachelor: No language requirements
Master: TOEFL: 92 – 95, no individual score under 20
IELTS: minimum 6.5, no individual score under 6.0

Course information:
Bachelor: Western Law offers no legal courses at the undergraduate level. Students can choose from a wide variety of other courses.
Master:
Western Law offers a broad range of legal courses. However, it is not possible for exchange students to participate in compulsory courses for a JD degree.

Accommodation:
There are both on campus and off campus housing options. Housing offers become available 6 months before the semester start; start looking asap!
